Why I love … (1)
I love the redesign of the Penguin Dictionaries. They are obviously Penguin books, but they have a very clean, modern feel. They follow rule number 1 of good design – simplicity. The typeface is classic, yet modern at the same time, and extremely legible. The designer has used different accent colours for each subject which are understated yet tasteful. And they look great displayed as a series when only the spines are on view. A masterpiece of good design.
