I’ll get straight to the point: save yourself £14.99.
Other comments from our Business Book Club members: ‘The worst business book I have ever read’. ‘Arrogant’. ‘Repetitive’. ‘1/10’.
I agree with all those points – apart from the 1/10. I think all books have something to offer and this was no exception.
I’d heard about the 80/20 principle before; 80% of results come from 20% of input. The book recommend we should locate and concentrate on the most lucrative parts of our businesses – but literally gives hundreds of pages of examples.
I couldn’t relate to the examples as they were all corporate and I wasn’t able to downscale them to be relevant to me.
I often wish there were more hours in the day, and this book resonated with me when the author talked about time. The ARE enough hours in the day, it’s up to us how we spend them. The importance of having time to think is not a luxury.
There may be other nuggets in the book, but as I didn’t finish it I can’t attest to that!
